The Coalition for Glen Cove is an association
of residents of Glen Cove New York who are advocates for public education.

Meeting of February 27, 2006 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church

Minutes

There will be three open seats for the Glen Cove Board of Education on May 16, 2006. Janet Bates-Wilkins, Doug Brown, and Kurt Schmeller may or may not run for re-election.

John DeMarino went to a meeting with the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce. The comments were very negative about our school district. The school board or the administration should go to the Chamber of Commerce meetings.

Adult Education – other school districts do not cost taxpayers money. It brings the community into our schools and, hopefully, vote for the budget.

Ted Holmes will send out letters in support of a contribution for the coalition.

Don Scarl will create the PowerPoint Presentation slide show on the website. Don will bring the PowerPoint presentation to meetings (PTA, LaFuerza, etc.) and neighbors.
